Arizona State football: Here's a list of Sun Devil high school recruits

The February signing day has become a lesser heralded event now that there is a December "early" signing period and colleges choose to have as many recruits sing then. That then allows them the chance to participate in spring drills in March. A majority of those signing in December are already on campus.

Here is a quick look at ASU's new additions for 2024. They are listed in alphabetical order.

Class of 2024

CB Rodney Bimage (6-0, 170), Dickinson HS (Dickinson, Texas) Ranked No. 93 in Texas, 52 at his position and 539 nationally by 247Sports which has him pegged as a 3-star prospect. Picked ASU out of 21 offers which also included Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, TCU and Pac-12 rivals Oregon, Colorado and Washington.

RB Jason Brown (5-10, 205), O'Dea HS (Seattle, Wash.) A four-star prospect committed earlier this month after a visit here. Had 23 offers and also made a visit to Michigan State. Among other offers were Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Oregon, Penn State and Texas. Ranked as the No. 175 national prospect by 247Sports which also pegs him 13th at his position and No. 3 in his state.

P Kanyon Floyd (6-0, 165) Horizon HS (Phoenix). Committed to ASU on May 21, 2023. Three-star prospect ranked No. 50 in Arizona, and third at his position by 247Sports. Also had offers from Army, Navy and Air Force.

TE Jayden Fortier (6-5, 220) Tualatin HS (Tualatin, Oregon). Singled out as the top prospect in the state by 247Sports which also pegs him at No. 25 at his position nationally. Committed to ASU on June 30. Was also being courted by Arizona.

DL James Giggey (6-3, 245) Bradshaw Mountain (Prescott). Committed to ASU Jun 12, 2023.

S Martell Hughes (6-2, 180) Madison HS (San Diego, California) Ranked as the No. 85 prospect in the state by 247Sports. Visited ASU on June 16 and made a commitment on July 4. Chose ASU out of 15 offers that also included Pac-12 rivals Arizona, Cal, and Washington State.

CB Chris Johnson Jr. (6-1, 180) Alfredo HS (Alfredo, Texas). Pegged as the No. 84 player in the state and No. 40 at his position nationally by 247Sports. Committed to ASU on July 4 after a visit on June 9. Had 16 offers and also took trips to Arkansas and Oregon. Recorded 30 tackles, 2 for a loss, with two interceptions and two fumble recoveries for a team that won the Texas 5A D1 state championship. Also runs track, specializing in sprints.

WR Plas Johnson (6-1, 165) Chaparral HS (Scottsdale) The most recent state commitment, made his pledge on June 29, after a visit two weeks earlier. Had 14 offers that also included Kansas State, Arizona, BYU and Washington. Pegged as No. 11 prospect in the state by 247Sports.

IOL Terrence Kim (6-3, 328) North Medford (Medford, Oregon) The No. 5 ranked prospect in Oregon by 247Sports which also puts him No. 39 at his position nationally. Three-star prospect had eight offers with Fresno State and Oregon State among those. Flipped his commitment from Oregon State to ASU on Saturday.

DE Salesi Manu (6-3, 240) Bishop Manogue (Reno, Nevada) Ranked as the No. 6 prospect in his state, and No. 66 at his position nationally. Had 12 offers and made visits to ASU, BYU, Cal, Oregon State and Washington State. Led his team to a 5A-II state championship win over Faith Lutheran.

S Kyan McDonald (6-0, 175) O'Dea HS (Seattle) Comes from the same high school as touted RB Jason Brown who was a December signee. Ranked as the No. 16 prospect in his state by 247Sports. Had 14 offers, most notably from Michigan, Michigan State and Oregon as well as current Pac 12 foes Arizona, Colorado and hometown Washington. Also played on the offensive side of the ball in high school.

CB Tony-Louis Nkuba (6-0, 170) Lewisville HS, (Lewisville, Texas). Ranked No. 87 in the state, No. 48 at his position and No. 452 in the nation by 247Sports which pegs him as a 3-star prospect. Committed to ASU May 17, 2023. Visited on June 16, 2023. Among other offers were Texas Tech, Houston, and Arkansas with Pac 12 offers from Cal and Oregon State. Also runs track, specializing in sprints.

IOL Filiva'a Saluni (6-5, 272) Kahuku HS (Hawaii) Picked ASU out of 10 offers, the most notable others from BYU, Boise State, Washington State and Cal. Ranked No. 5 in Hawaii, and No. 51 nationally at his position. Committed on Dec. 4, just days after making an official visit.

WR Zechariah Sample (5-9, 160) Katy Jordan HS (Fulshear, Texas). Ranked the No. 105 prospect in his state, No. 865 at his position and No. 639 in the Nation by 247Sports which has him as a 3-star prospect. Committed on March 22, 2023. Made an official visit on April 14, 2023. Among other offers were Houston, Utah as well as Pac-12 foe Cal. Has played both sides of the ball, as well as on special teams. Also competes in track, specializing in sprints and long jump.

LB Albert Smith (6-1, 205) Ponchatola HS (Ponchatoula, Louisiana.). Ranked No. 29 in the state, No. 80 at his position and No. 924 nationally by 247Sports which has him a 3-star prospect. Among other offers were Baylor, Nebraska, and Missouri. Committed May 21, 2023.

IOL Semisi Tonga (6-4, 310) West HS (Salt Lake City, Utah) Ranked No. 11 in the state, 73 at his position by 247Sports. Had 13 offers including ones from Pac-12 foes Arizona, Colorado, UCLA as well as Oklahoma State and Nebraska. Is ranked No. 22 in his state and No. 73 in his position nationally. Committed Dec. 12, flipping from Oklahoma State.

OL Champ Westbrooks (6-4, 265) Loyola HS (Los Angeles, California). Ranked No. 74 in the state and No. 73 at his position by 247Sports which tags him as a 3-star prospect. Committed on June 17, the first offensive line commit for the class. Among other offers were Louisville, Nevada and Colorado State.

DL Ramar Williams (6-3, 250) Eastmark HS (Mesa). He committed on June 17, 2023, on his official visit.
