Arizona Diamondbacks offering 'free-bee' ticket promotion against San Diego Padres

The Arizona Diamondbacks are offering a "free-bee" ticket promotion Thursday in honor of bee guy Matt Hilton's removal of the bees before Tuesday night's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Fans can receive a free ticket for every ticket purchase to the Diamondbacks' upcoming weekend series against the San Diego Padres Friday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5, by going to dbacks.com/tickets and using the promo code BEEGUY before 11:59 p.m. Arizona time Thursday night.

The team is scheduled to have a fireworks show on Friday night and is scheduled to give away Gabriel Moreno Gold Glove Bobbleheads on Saturday.

Friday's game is scheduled to begin at 6:40 p.m., while Saturday's is scheduled for 5:10 p.m.

Sunday's game has a 1:10 p.m. first pitch.

Hilton rose to quick fame after driving 45 minutes from his son's T-ball game in Surprise to remove the bees that had congregated on the backstop netting before Tuesday's game.

Topps announced that the Blue Sky Pest Control employee had signed a deal with the collectible trading card company on Wednesday.

The DBacks rallied for a walk-off win over Los Angeles after he safely removed the swarm of bees above home plate at Chase Field.
