Arizona Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. 2023 MLB All-Star Game finalists

A pair of Arizona Diamondbacks are among the finalists in voting for the starters for the 2023 MLB All-Star Game.

Outfielder Corbin Carroll and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. are among four finalists for two starting outfield spots in the National League, MLB announced Thursday.

The Atlanta Braves' Ronald Acuna Jr. has already locked up a starting spot thanks to being the top vote-getter in Phase 1 of the league's All-Star voting this year.

Carroll was third in Phase 1 voting at the position for the NL, behind Acuna and the Los Angeles Dodgers' Mookie Betts.

He is bidding for his first career All-Star appearance and would become the first D-Backs rookie in history to earn a fan-elected start.

He would be just the second D-Backs rookie ever, and first position player, to appear in the Midsummer Classic, joining Wade Miley (2012).

The Braves' Michael Harris II is also a finalist for an outfield starting spot in the NL.

Phase 2 voting begins on Monday at 9 a.m. Arizona time and is available exclusively online and via mobile devices at MLB.com/vote, all 30 Club websites, the MLB App and the MLB Ballpark App, during a four-day window that concludes at 9 a.m. Arizona time on Thursday, June 29th.

Later that night, the winners will be announced at 4 p.m. Arizona time on ESPN.
