Bailey walks it off for Abington: South Shore high school top performers for May 6-12

There are three weeks remaining in the high school spring sports season.

The MIAA power rankings is littered with teams from across the South Shore with dreams of winning state titles. But in the meantime, league titles and playoff positioning are the immediate goals.

Saturday, May 11

SOFTBALL

Rowan Dillon (3 RBIs), Haylie McPhee (2 RBIs), Maddie Powers (2 RBIs) and Sofia Blanco (2 RBIs) all had 2-hit days in Marshfield's 13-1 win over Cohasset.

Alyssa Burke collected her 100th career hit and went 5-for-5 with a home run in Archbishop Williams' 12-8 win over Cardinal Spellman. Ciara McMenamin earned the win in the circle and added 2 hits while Jill Ondrick had 3 hits, including a home run.

Hanover's Erin Condon singled home Noey Giardina with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning for an 8-7 walk-off win over East Bridgewater. Abby Minasi's 2-out, 2-run single capped a 4-run rally in the sixth as the Hawks (7-7) dug out of a 7-3 hole. Abby Hanna had 3 hits and 2 RBIs, and sophomore pitcher Talia Beer evened her record at 6-6.

Bridgewater-Raynham's Ava Setler scored the walk-off run on a 12th-inning error on a ball hit by Olivia Roy as the Trojans beat Dartmouth, 5-4, in the conclusion of a May 6 game that had been suspended by darkness after 9 innings. Madi Delano pitched the entire game for B-R (8-5), recording her 6th win of the season while striking out 10 and allowing 3 earned runs. Claire Roy (4 hits, run), Selter (home run, 2 RBIs, run) and Olivia Roy (hit, 2 RBIs) starred at the plate, and Talia Faria Taylor Reid and Lily Berman had 2 hits each.

BOYS LACROSSE

Jack Carr (5 goals) and Sean Rockwood (2 goals, 6 assists) led the way for Stoughton in a 10-1 win over Bay Path. Christopher Lee, Thomas DoSantos and Danwar DesSousa each had 1 goals.

Joey McCarthy had 2 goals in Norwell's 8-4 win over Newburyport.

Charlie Hartwell (4 goals, 2 assists) and Owen Hofford (goal, 5 assists) led Scituate to a 9-8 win over Reading.

Teddy Lally had 4 goals and 4 assists in Thayer Academy's 20-10 win over Lawrence.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Danielle Cox had 3 goals and an assist in Norwell's 11-9 loss to Newburyport.

Claire Fitzsimmons (assist) and Audrey Lambert each had hat tricks, but Bridgewater-Raynham lost to Dartmouth, 16-10.

BASEBALL

Hull's Luke Dunham hit a walk-off 2-run double with 2 outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat South Shore Tech, 3-2. Tegan Bellew (2-for-4) and Nate Tiani (2-for-3) also starred at the plate for the Pirates (9-5), who have won five in a row. Liam Conneely got the win in relief of starter Max McEachern (6⅓ innings, 1 hit, 0 earned runs, 5 strikeouts).

Oliver Ames' Colin Lemay (2 doubles, RBI) led the way in a 7-4 win over Stoughton. Lucas Riley and David Rodgers each had a pair of hits and an RBI, and reliever Alex Saade pitched 2-plus scoreless innings.

Milton's Timmy Cross (3-for-3, walk, 3 RBIs, run), Scott Longo (2-for-3, triple, 2 walks, 3 runs) and Nick Antoniewicz (2-for-4, 2 RBIs) starred in a 10-8 win over Hingham. Winning pitcher Ryan Kelly allowed 3 earned runs over 6 innings, and Rowan McCullough earned the save for the Wildcats (8-6).

Friday, May 10

BASEBALL

Archbishop Williams defeated Cardinal Spellman, 10-0, behind a 5-inning shutout from Sean Higgins. Joshua Turcotte belted his first career home run to go with a double and 5 RBIs. Stephen Ondrick went 3-for-4 with 3 runs and 3 RBIs. In the loss, Ben Catton and Alex Confarrotta both went 2-for-2 while Caleb Foster recorded his first varsity hit.

New Bedford defeated Middleboro, 9-2.

Sandwich defeated Norwell, 8-2.

Nick Sturdevant pitched 5 innings of 1-run ball with 8 strikeouts in Southeastern's 8-2 win over Blue Hills. Darren Spencer (RBI, 2 hits offensively) earned the win with 2 innings of relief while Joe Tully (3 hits, 2 runs), Matthew Pearson (3 RBIs) led the way offensively.

Derek Lopes had 4 RBIs in Carver's 8-6 win over Cohasset. Nathan Dirado struck out 10 over 5 innings.

Andrew Gillis and Shane Kelleher both went 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs in Canton's 13-3 win over Stoughton. Owen Lane went 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs.

Brandon Raftes pitched a shutout with 6 strikeouts and 3 hits allowed in Marshfield's 2-0 win over Dennis-Yarmouth. Cam Smith drove in both runs for the Rams (7-7).

Milton lost to Needham, 5-4, in 8 innings despite a strong start from Leo Lyons (6 innings, 1 earned run). Jack Sullivan (double, run) and Max Dunn (double, RBI, run) both had 2 hits.

Aidan McCarthy pitched well in North Quincy's 3-2 loss to Brockton. He also had 2 hits and drove in a run. Will Conley added a sacrifice fly for the Raiders.

Braintree pitchers Max King, Jack Titley and Connor Grieve combined for a 5-2 win over Duxbury. Hayden Regan, Cal Youhas and Sean O'Rourke each had 2 hits for the Wamps (13-3), and Peter Brooks and Sean Canavan each had an RBI single.

SOFTBALL

Mia Bradshaw went 3-for-3 with 2 doubles and an RBI in South Shore Tech's 10-3 win over Blue Hills. Allie Blanchard added 2 hits and 2 runs.

Kasie Bailey (2-for-3) had a walk-off single to plate Calli Pineau as Abington defeated Notre Dame Academy, 1-0, in 8 innings. Elsie Testa scattered 3 hits and struck out 7 in a shutout effort. NDA's Shannon MacLeod allowed 4 hits and struck out 11. Hannah Gauthier was 2-for-3 for the Cougars (7-4).

Katie Berg (3-for-4, 2 RBIs) belted her first varsity home run in Oliver Ames's 7-4 loss to Mansfield. Devon Morris went 3-for-4 with 3 runs scored.

Zahria Daley pitched 6 solid innings while Shakura Lynch had a home run and a double in Milton's 9-3 win over Malden Catholic. Ellie McConville hit her first varsity home run.

Kailyn Durham had 3 RBIs in Canton's 7-4 win over Stoughton.

Cohasset defeated Carver, 16-3. Paige Medico went 2-for-3 with an RBI in the loss. Regina Silva and Lyla Moore each had an RBI.

Sofia Blanco and Rowan Dillon each hit a home run in Marshfield's 15-0 win over Dennis-Yarmouth.

Jane Melia, Sienna Powers and Kate Schulte each had 3 RBIs in Hingham's 14-3 win over Quincy/North Quincy. Melia and Bilyana Wilkin combined to limit QNQ to 5 hits. Aradhana Sood went 3-for-4 with 3 runs.

Megan Vin Winkle (4-for-5, 3 RBIs) and Abby Greene (3-for-5, 2 RBIs) led Norwell to a 14-6 win over Sandwich.

BOYS LACROSSE

Zach Buccigross (goal, 3 assists) recorded his 100th career assist in Abington's 12-6 win over Oliver Ames. Hunter Grafton (4 goals, 4 goals), Matt Grafton (2 goals, 3 assists) and Jonathan Halpin (4 goals) also had big days. Shaun Teehan had 2 goals in the loss.

Quincy/North Quincy defeated Cardinal Spellman, 17-10.

Milton defeated Norwood, 18-2.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Malden Catholic defeated North Quincy, 17-14. Autumn O'Campos had 11 points (8 goals, 3 assists) in the loss.

South Shore Tech defeated Abington, 15-7, as Sofia Grasso (5 goals, assist) became the second player in program to reach 100 career goals. She joins teammate Peyton Mathisen (3 goals, assist against Abington). Kayla Nota added a hat trick and Sophia Bovill had 2 goals. Rebecca Rix scored 4 goals for Abington.

Quincy defeated Archbishop Williams, 17-9.

Hull defeated Pembroke, 12-7.

Saoirse O’Duggan and Liv Appel scored their first varsity goals in Cohasset's 20-0 win over Middleboro. Laney Larsen, Avery Regan and Aine Norton each had 4-goal days.

Clare Joyce scored her 100th career goal in Braintree's 13-6 win over Mansfield.

Whitman-Hanson defeated Oliver Ames, 16-6, getting big games from Shannon Balfe (5 goals), Bailey Kelly (4 goals, 2 assists), Lillie MacKinnon (3 goals, assist) and Maddy Geagan (3 goals). The Panthers are 9-5.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Brockton defeated Randolph, 3-1.

Taunton defeated Quincy, 3-1.

BOYS TENNIS

Aidan Gilmartin (second singles), Luca Moretti (third singles), Matt Alabiso/Ben Garland (first doubles) and Owen Sadowski/Colton Schipani (second doubles) had wins for Norwell in a 4-1 victory over Sandwich.

GIRLS TENNIS

Delaney Hughes (third singles), Sophie Ennis/Maddy Morris (first doubles) and Rachel Boulger/Ciara Flynn (second doubles) led Whitman-Hanson to a 3-2 win over Abington.

Oliver Ames fell to Mansfield, 3-2, getting points at first singles (Hannah Farber) and third singles (Ada Visnauskis).

BOYS RUGBY

Hanover defeated Hingham, 54-18.

Thursday, May 9

SOFTBALL

Canton's Jess Wright, Anna Lehan and Laura Valkanas each had 2 hits, and Sami Grady drew 3 walks in a 19-0 win over Sharon on Senior Day. Reilly MacEachern was the winning pitcher with 9 strikeouts, and Caitlin Reynolds pitched well in relief.

Silver Lake's Addison Willett and Emma D’Angelo each hit 3-run home runs to spark a 10-run second inning in a 19-0 win over Quincy/North Quincy. Anna Craft (4 RBIs) and Mady Bryan each went 3-for-4, and freshman pitcher Katelyn Taylor picked up her first varsity win, allowing 1 hit with 8 strikeouts.

Norwell's Lindsay Stull had 3 hits, and Abby Greene, Teegan Link, Penny Saich, Evelyn Sim, Meghan Van Winkle and Alaina McGraw each had a pair in a 13-1 win over Carver.

Hanover's Erin Condon had 3 hits, an RBI and a run in a 5-3 win over Duxbury. Abby Hanna had the winning hit -- a 2-run single in the fourth. Noey Giardina had 2 hits, including a double, and scored a run, and winning pitcher Talia Beer allowed 5 hits with 3 strikeouts for the Hawks (6-7).

East Bridgewater's Maggie Schlossberg struck out 13 in a 3-2 win over Rockland. Bella Abrams (3 hits), Maddie Blette (2 hits, 2 RBIs, run) and Sarah Silvia (2 hits) also starred for the Vikings (8-5).

Marshfield's Rowan Dillon had 3 hits and 3 RBIs in a 6-1 win over Plymouth South. Haylie McPhee had 3 hits, and Sofia Blanco added 2 hits and 2 RBIs and pitched a complete-game 5-hitter for the Rams (7-3).

Archbishop Williams' Jill Ondrick pitched a complete game with no earned runs and 15 strikeouts and was 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored in an 11-1 win over Bishop Stang. Ciara McMenamin (4-for-4, double, sacrifice, 2 RBIs, run), Alyssa Burke (3-for-5, double, 2 runs) and Monica Kelley (3-for-4, walk, 2 runs) also starred for Archies (10-4).

Hingham edged Pembroke, 1-0, in 9 innings as Bilyana Wilkin went the distance in the circle, allowing 3 hits with 8 strikeouts. Wilkin also scored the walk-off run as she drew a leadoff walk, stole second and scored on a double by Kate Schulte (2-for-4). Pembroke pitcher Kelly McGee allowed 3 hits in the loss.

South Shore Tech's Allie Blanchard was 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs in a 17-15 win over Cape Cod Tech. Maya Crawford was 3-for-6 with an RBI and a run.

Bridgewater-Raynham's Madi Delano pitched an 8-inning complete game, allowing 6 hits and no earned runs with 6 strikeouts, and had 3 hits and 2 RBIs in an 11-6 victory over Braintree. Claire Roy (2 hits, RBI, 2 runs), Ava Selter (2 hits, double, RBI, run) and Talia Faria (2 hits, triple, RBI, run) also starred for B-R.

BASEBALL

Whitman Hanson's Dylan Bausemer earned the decision in an 11-2 win over Quincy, allowing an earned run and 3 hits. Reliever Bobby Baker threw 2 hitless innings with 5 strikeouts. Johnny Walker, Evan Yakavonis and Dan Joyce each had a pair of hits for the Panthers (10-5).

Hanover's Cole Hendrickson earned his third win of the season in a 6-2 victory over Duxbury, allowing 3 hits and 2 runs over 6 innings with 7 strikeouts. Connor Hutchison worked a 1-2-3 seventh for his third save. Hutchison, John McDonald, Thomas Perkins and Sam Light each had a pair of hits for the Hawks (10-3).

East Bridgewater's Nick Capocci had 2 RBIs, scored a run and stole a base in a 6-2 win over Rockland. Garret Berry got the win on the mound, and Johnny King, Collin Meserve and Matt Werra each drove in a run. Meserve and Brody Lovell had 2 hits each.

Weymouth's Gill Dolan became the program's all-time hits leader with 92 in a 6-2 road loss to Walpole.

Norwell defeated Carver, 1-0.

Marshfield's Dan Lomba allowed a run over 4⅔ innings with 4 strikeouts in a 5-1 win over Plymouth South. Will Carey finished up on the mound, and Mike Bekerian (2-run double), Cam Smith (RBI double) and Anderson Dalton (3-for-4, RBI, run) also starred for the Rams (6-7).

North Quincy's Aidan Bridges got the complete-game win in a 5-3 victory over Silver Lake. Max Gaudiano (double, walk, RBI), Tim Toland (RBI, run) and Charlie Baker (RBI) each had a pair of hits, and Ryan Wirtz and Max Lamonica drove in runs. Silver Lake's Kevin O'Keefe struck out 6 over 5⅓ innings, and Jack LaNatra, Jack Quigley and Collin Monteiro had 2 hits each in the loss.

Pembroke's Cam Fryer delivered a walk-off single in the eighth inning in a 3-2 win over Hingham. Danny Abban pitched 3 shutout innings in relief for the Titans (8-6) and James Falco had 3 hits. Hingham's Colin Garrity allowed 2 earned runs over 7 innings.

BOYS LACROSSE

Cohasset's Liam Appleton (4 goals, assist), Gus Greene (3 goals, 2 assists) and Tim Donovan (3 goals) starred in a 10-9 win over Bishop Feehan that gave coach Steve Rotondi his 100th career victory. Henry Burke won 19 of 23 faceoffs, and Lincoln Pattsion made 12 saves for the Skippers (9-5).

Bridgewater-Raynham's Jayson Kelleher (2) and Nikos Triantafillou had goals for the Trojans (8-5) in a 12-3 loss to Sandwich.

West/East Bridgewater rallied to beat Norton, 13-12, in overtime, led by strong defensive games from goalie Brayden Bates, Andrew Perry and Nate Frechette.

Milton defeated Dedham, 14-0.

Finn Cronin scored the overtime winner in Silver Lake's 12-11 triumph over Plymouth North.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Weymouth's Megan Doyle had 9 points and 17 draw controls in a 15-8 win over Walpole, which entered the game No. 2 in Div. 2 in the latest MIAA power rankings. Mira Flaherty (5 points) and Lily Krawciw (2 points) also starred for the Wildcats (10-5).

Whitman-Hanson's Shannon Balfe and Brooke Kreckler each scored 4 goals, and Lillie MacKinnon (3 assists), Bailey Kelly and Abby Nash each scored twice in a 20-4 win over Plymouth South.

Duxbury's Gabby Fisher broke a late tie in a 9-8 win over Billerica.

GIRLS TENNIS

Plymouth North edged Scituate, 3-2, as Emmy Spinale won at second singles. North swept the doubles with the teams of Aislyn Kelliher/Kaitlyn Ng and Helena Dhillon/Gabby Whiting.

BOYS TENNIS

Whitman-Hanson edged Quincy, 3-2, winning at second singles (Mateo Santalucia) and third singles (Blake Belcher). Tristan Baker and Ryan Hathaway also won at first doubles.

GIRLS TRACK & FIELD

Hingham won the Patriot League Keenan Division crown with a 75-61 victory over Plymouth North. Winners for the Harborwomen were: Nina Crean (high jump; 5-2), Lauren Howard (triple jump; 31-11.5), Zoe Schulze (javelin; 104-0), Meghan Koenen (400m hurdles; 1:09.16) and the 4x100m relay team of Jasai Shakespeare, Morgan Feeley, Crean and Kate Hall (:51.97).

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

BC High's Mason Cleary (16 kills) and Connor Gallagher (10 digs) starred in a 3-0 win over St. John's (Shrewsbury) that clinched the Catholic Conference crown.

Needham defeated Braintree, 3-0.

Wellesley defeated Milton, 3-0.

Wednesday, May 8

BOYS LACROSSE

Rockland defeated Archbishop Williams, 8-4.

Hingham defeated Hanover, 13-3.

Marshfield defeated Quincy/North Quincy, 15-3.

Plymouth South defeated Whitman-Hanson, 8-7, in double overtime on Mason McNulty's winner. Caleb McKeown scored his 100th career goal. Connor McCarthy (3 goals, 2 assists) had 5 points while Gavin McCarthy (3 goals, assist) had 4 points. David MacNeil made 13 saves. Connor McCarthy and Gavin McCarthy each had hat tricks for W-H (4-9).

Sean Holmes, Joel Binette, Riley Gillis, and Alex Zaneski scored their first varsity goals in Pembroke's 15-1 win over East Bridgewater.

Falmouth defeated Norwell, 8-7.

Duxbury defeated Scituate, 13-7.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Elle Murphy (6 goals) and Ava Smith (7 saves) led Cardinal Spellman to a 9-6 win over Arlington Catholic. Erin O'Donnell added 2 goals and an assist and Devyn DuBose scored once.

South Shore Tech defeated Southeastern, 5-3, to remain undefeated behind 2-goal days from Peyton Mathisen and Lilli Berquist.

Grace Connor scored her 100th career goal in Quincy's 14-4 win over Pembroke.

Caroline Connolly (6 goals), Grace Maroney (5) and Neely Sgobbo (4) led Hingham to a 19-9 win over Hanover. Eva Kelliher had 5 goals in the loss.

Annabella Venna (3 goals) and Maggie Keller (9 saves) led Silver Lake to a 12-2 win over Plymouth North.

Caroline Burtch had 6 points (5 goals, assist) and 6 draw controls in Norwell's 17-4 win over Dover-Sherborn. Holly Panttila (4 goals, assist) and Charlise Cox (goal, 4 assists) had 5-point days, and Danielle Cox and Lexi Davos added hat tricks for the Clippers (8-5).

Marshfield defeated North Quincy, 18-11, behind big games from Noelle Finucane (6 goals, assist), Julia O'Brien (4 goals, 2 assists) and Gabby Reardon (3 goals, 6 assists). In the loss, Autumn O'Campos tallied 7 goals and 3 assists.

Taylor McAndrew scored 7 goals in Oliver Ames' 22-5 win over Middleboro. Kayla Isleib (4 goals) and Gabriela Nastasia (3 goals) also chipped in.

Archbishop Williams' Avery Valicenti scored 10 goals in an 18-9 win over Hull. Caroline Batchelder (4 goals, 5 assists) and Clare O’Keefe (3 goals, 4 assists) also starred for the Bishops.

BASEBALL

Stephen Ondrick (RBI, double) and Nolan Swirbalus (run) had 2-hit days in Archbishop Williams' 6-1 loss to Bishop Stang.

Durfee defeated Bridgewater-Raynham, 8-5.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

North Quincy defeated Quincy, 3-1.

BC High edged Medfield, 3-2, as Mason Cleary had 25 digs and 14 kills, and Liam Poole and James Shriver added 7 kills each.

GIRLS GOLF

Hingham beat Scituate, 5-1, behind strong rounds from Lauren Weber, Becca Kardoos and Finley Erick.

Tuesday, May 7

GIRLS LACROSSE

Elle Murphy scored 5 goals in Cardinal Spellman's 9-6 loss to Bishop Fenwick. Mariah Strong made 8 saves for the Cardinals.

Sofia Grasso (4 goals) led South Shore Tech to a 12-5 victory over Abington. Lilli Berquist (2 goals), Hannah Nota (2 goals), Kayla Nota (2 goals), Sophie Bovill and Peyton Mathisen also scored for the unbeaten Vikings (12-0).

Weymouth's Kylee Fennelly and Macy Lippincott each scored her first career goal in a 17-6 win over Framingham. Defender Molly Tufts won 7 draw controls for the Wildcats.

Dighton-Rehoboth defeated Middleboro, 12-10.

BOYS LACROSSE

Jayson Kelleher and Brendan Rosher had 2 goals apiece in Bridgewater-Raynham's 18-6 loss to Marshfield.

Milton defeated Newton North, 13-5.

SOFTBALL

Freshman Allie Blanchard went 5-for-5 with 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs to lead South Shore Tech to a 20-6 victory over Bristol Aggie. Senior Molly Peterson went 2-for-2 with a 2-run home run and 3 runs scored in the win.

Jess Blyth and Riley Agnew drove in runs during Abington's 3-1 win over Middleboro. Pitcher Elsie Testa struck out 11, surrendered 5 hits, one walk and zero earned runs in the win. Kasie Bailey (2-for-2) and Maddie McDonald (1-for-2) each came around to score for the Green Wave.

Senior McKenzie Foley went 4-for-6 with a triple and home run, driving in 4 runs and scoring 3 runs as Hanover defeated East Bridgewater, 15-3, to give coach Joe Messina his 200th career win. Also for Hanover: senior Kaelyn Chase was 3-for-4 with a home run, 2 RBIs and 4 runs; senior Erin Condon had 2 hits; and junior Noey Giardina had 2 hits, 3 stolen bases and 2 RBIs. Sophomore pitcher Talia Beer (4 hits allowed, 5 strikeouts) earned the win.

Taryn Leonard drove in the winning run in the sixth inning to settle Whitman-Hanson's 16-15 win over Plymouth North. Leonard was 4-for-5 with 2 runs. Other W-H stars: Victoria Sheehan (3-for-5, 3 runs), Cassidy Briggs (1-for-3, 2 RBIs, run), Katelyn Hagerty (2 RBIs, 2 runs), Kaylee Butterfield (2-for-4, RBI, 2 runs), Cami Walsh (2 RBIs, run), Emilia Cooke (RBI, 2 runs) and Sam Casey (2 runs). North was led by Callie Smith (3-for-6, run) and Bella Piekarski (4-for-5, 5 RBIs, 3 runs).

Sofia Blanco struck out 8 and allowed 4 hits in the circle, and had 3 hits and 2 RBIs at the plate, as Marshfield topped Duxbury, 13-0. Aubrey Finn went 2-for-2 with an RBI for the Rams (6-3).

Mady Bryan went 4-for-4 at the plate to headline Silver Lake's 11-0 win over Hingham. Addison Willet (2-for-4, 3 RBI), Samantha Waters (2-for-4) and pitcher Delaney Moquin (3 hits allowed, 9 strikeouts) also shined for the Lakers (11-2).

Milton suffered its first defeat, falling 8-3 to Needham. The Wildcats are 11-1.

BASEBALL

Tyler Welsh struck out four in 4⅓ shutout innings of relief work to drive East Bridgewater to a 6-4 extra-innings win over Mashpee. It marked Jeff Ghiloni's 100th win as the Vikings' head coach. Jaden Lovell and Collin Meserve each had RBIs in the eighth inning to seal the win. Brody Lovell and Connor Eagan each scored 2 runs, and Joey Foley recorded 2 hits.

Milton's Scott Longo struck out 15 in 5⅓ innings of work as the Wildcats lost to Newton North, 4-0.

Brad Leonard (RBI), Lucas Bartlett (RBI) and pitcher Joe Rogan led Plymouth South to a 2-1 win over Pembroke.

Ryan Baker (6 innings, 2 runs allowed, 3 hits, 4 strikeouts) pitched well in Whitman-Hanson's 2-0 defeat to Plymouth North. David McNaught (1-for-2) and Cam Beltramini (1-for-3) were the highlights in the Panthers' lineup. Josh Bryant pitched a complete game for North.

Hanover defeated Quincy, 9-0, as winning pitcher Owen Kennedy did not allow a hit over 4 innings with 7 strikeouts. Gabe Knudsen (sac fly), Connor Hutchison (groundout), James Solari (single) and Sam Light (single) all drove in runs in the first inning for the Hawks (9-3).

Scituate defeated North Quincy, 3-1.

Somerset-Berkley defeated West Bridgewater, 7-0.

Duxbury defeated Marshfield, 7-4.

Hingham's Jeremy Aylward was 3-for-4 with an RBI, 2 runs scored and a stolen base in a 5-3 win over Silver Lake. Teddy Swanson got the victory on the mound for the Harbormen (4-7); he didn't allow an earned run over 5 innings. Edwin Hart got the save. Silver Lake's Jack Quigley had a triple, 2 stolen bases and 2 runs.

GIRLS TRACK

Senior Brianna Codio won the shot put (30-6.5) and discus (76-10) to lead Whitman-Hanson to a 69-66 victory over Duxbury. Other contributors for the Panthers included Leila Keaney (100m hurdles; :18.92), Sky Anderson (mile; 5:46.27), McKenna McCarthy (2-mile; 13:06), Molly Burnett (200; :29.40), Sadie McKay (javelin, 76-5) and Katie Silva (triple jump; :28:01).

Archbishop Williams swept Bishop Fenwick, 75-57, and Arlington Catholic, 80-51, getting wins from Kaitlyn Burke (100m; :13.01), Hannah Griffin (800m; 2:29.27), Jessie Demosthene (400m; :65.0), Allison Flynn (100m hurdles; :18.13) and Maddie Hussey (2-mile; 12:17.48).

BOYS TRACK

Roosevelt Gatewood, Geovanni Graziano, Nelson Aimiuwu and Jiai Gonzalez led Blue Hills to a 100-36 win over Cape Cod Tech.

Archbishop Williams defeated Bishop Fenwick, 63-50, and Arlington Catholic, 87-31, getting wins from Eamonn Fennell (mile; 4:52.23), Nick Antonellis (800m; 2:11.80), Patrick Cadogan (200m; :24.02) and the 4x400m relay team of Antonellis, Alex Coulson, Nolan Stone and Joe Mento (3:54.10).

Canton's J.J. Faulk won the 100m (:11.4) and 200m (:22.8), but the Bulldogs lost, 74-62, to Oliver Ames. Canton also got wins from Mo Arugollu (long jump; 19-3), Mark McDonough (javelin; 132-6), the 4x100m relay (Angel Assad, Kareem Chaplin, Zach Sanon and Christian Hanlon in :45.20) and the 4x400m relay (Dan Krasylnykov, Arugollu, Dalton Wong and Parker Allen in 3:44).

Marshfield defeated Hingham, 74-62, as Graham Heinrich won the mile (4:29.39) and 2-mile (9:59.57). The Rams also got wins from, among others, Nathan Looney in the long jump (22-1.5), Giovanni Joseph in the 400m (:49.52), Kyle Behan in the 800m (2:03.31), Thomas Bongiolatti in the shot put (46-5), Joshua Albert in the discus (145-1) and Aidan Shanley in the triple jump (41-7).

GIRLS GOLF

Duxbury's Harper Capilli, Caroline Donovan, Hailey Flynn, Geneveive Taylor and Marley Hamilton all won their matches in a 5-1 win over Cohasset at Cohasset Country Club. Celiac Bianchi won her match for the Skippers.

Quincy/North Quincy defeated Archbishop Williams/Cardinal Spellman, 4-2.

Notre Dame Academy defeated Fontbonne Academy, 6-0.

GIRLS TENNIS

Pembroke defeated Plymouth South, 4-1.

Hingham blanked Silver Lake, 5-0, as Sanya Khadivi, Gabi Magner and Hannah Mello swept the singles matches for the Harborwomen (9-2). The doubles teams of Sienna Besser/Cassie McCabe and Veronica Ruth/Tess Green also won.

BOYS LACROSSE

Todd Egan scored 6 goals and 2 assists in South Shore Tech's 17-9 win over Blue Hills. Tyler Kline and Ben Tondorf (assist) each had hat tricks while James Hoey had 2 goals and an assist.

Hanover defeated Abington, 12-8. Hunter Grafton (2 assists), Ian Barrett (assist) and Jonathan Halpin each had 2 goals in the loss.

Mansfield defeated Oliver Ames, 21-7. Ryan Jaco (3 goals), Evan Jaco (3 assists) and Lucas Gangi (goal, 2 assists) each had 3 points in the loss.

Teddy Glynn had 4 goals, and Nolan Petrucelli had a goal and 4 assists in Norwell's 20-1 win over Mashpee.

Stoughton's Jack Carr had 2 goals, and goaltender Sean McGowan added one in a 17-3 loss to North Attleboro.

Canton's Brendan Tourgee scored in triple-overtime for a 9-8 win over Sharon.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Hull's Maeve Mulvihill scored her first varsity goal in a 19-1 win over Rockland.

Milton defeated North Quincy, 13-8.

Norwell's Danielle Cox (3 goals, 2 assists) and Holly Panttila (3 goals) had big games in Norwell's 16-3 win over Mashpee. Goalkeeper Charlotte Pithie made her 300th career save for the Clippers (7-5).

Ashley McLaren (3 goals, assist) and Claire Fitzsimmons (2 goals, assist) starred in Bridgewater-Raynham's 9-7 loss to Falmouth.

Hingham defeated Cohasset, 16-12. In the loss, Reese Hansen had 15 draw controls. Emma Driscoll made 7 saves in her first varsity start while Avery Regan (3 goals, 3 assists) and Laney Larsen (4 goals) contributed offensively.

Taylor McAndrew had a hat trick in Oliver Ames' 11-10 loss to Mansfield. Olivia O'Rourke, Leanna Hudson and Kayla Isleib all had 2 goals. Olivia Magee made 10 saves.

Maggie Keller made 12 saves in Silver Lake's 7-1 win over Fairhaven while Cloe Geraigery added a hat trick.

Archbishop Williams' Caroline Batchelder (4 goals, assist), Clare O'Keefe (3 goals, assist) and Avery Valicenti (goal, 4 assists) had big games in a 14-9 loss to Bishop Stang.

BASEBALL

Joey Foley had 3 hits and 2 RBIs, and Collin Meserve added 3 RBIs and 2 hits in East Bridgewater's 12-2 win over Carver. Brody Lovell and Johnny King both had 2 hits and 3 runs. Jaden Lovell pitched a complete game. Ryder Holmes was 2-for-3 with an RBI and run in the loss.

Jordan Medeiros struck out 13 batters and allowed 5 hits in Avon's 5-2 win over Rising Tide. He also had a triple, 3 runs and 5 stolen bases. Robert Rose and Anthony Fuller made key defensive plays in the bottom of the seventh inning to preserve the win.

Pembroke's Evan O'Brien pitched a complete game in a 2-1 win over Hanover. Aidan Sullivan had a 2-run double, and Ben Voekel had a pair of hits for the Titans (7-5).

Weymouth's Jack Reyes pitched a complete game with 8 strikeouts in a 6-2 win over Framingham. Cam Munchbach had 2 hits and 2 RBIs.

Hull defeated Quincy, 4-3, in a walk-off on Nick Tiani's bases-loaded sacrifice fly in the seventh. Luke Dunham (2-for-4, 2 runs), John Reynolds (2-for-3, 2 RBIs) and Ken Autio (2-for-3, RBI) also starred for the Pirates (8-5).

Brady McGraw pitched well on the mound in Norwell's 11-1 win over Famouth. Liam Shepherd went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 runs scored. Colin McCarthy had 4 RBIs, and Will Corbin drove in 2.

Portsmouth Abbey defeated Thayer Academy, 2-1. Alex Dias allowed 1 hit over 6 innings while Peter Fischer went 3-for-4 in the loss.

SOFTBALL

Abington's Ella Franey earned her first varsity win in her first career start as she went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs and 2 runs in an 18-3 win over Sandwich. Calli Pineau, Malia Goldberg, Kasie Bailey Riley Agnew, Liv Dambra and Ava DiPietro all had multi-hit days for the Green Wave (13-1).

Quincy/North Quincy defeated Brockton, 25-4.

Sam Waters was 3-for-3 with a home run in Silver Lake's 6-0 win over Bishop Feehan. Alannah Waters had 2 hits, including a home run. Nina O'Neil had 2 hits and Delaney Moquin struck out 9 in the shutout effort.

Pembroke's Kelly McGee fired a 2-hitter with 11 strikeouts in a 6-0 win over Falmouth. That tally included her 500th career strikeout.

Archbishop Williams' Monica Kelly had 2 home runs and 7 RBIs in a 14-1 win over Boston Latin Academy. Alyssa Burke blasted 2 home runs and Jill Ondrick hit one. Rosa McLaughlin had her first varsity hit.

Milton's Cara Facey drove in Sadie Steuterman for a walk-off win in a 4-3 triumph over Newton North. MK Maloney pitched a complete game for the undefeated Wildcats (11-0).

Gabby Diaute went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs, 3 runs, a double and a triple in Braintree's 10-3 win over Natick. Bella Wuestefeld went 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Crystyliah Covel had a home run, double, 2 runs and 2 RBIs in Oliver Ames' 7-4 win over Milford.

East Bridgewater's Maggie Schlossberg and Mia Holmes combine for 11 strikeouts in East Bridgewater's 10-2 win over Carver. Bella Abrams and Maddie Blette each had 2 RBIs. In the loss, Maddie Butler had 2 hits and Lyla Moore had a 2-RBI single.

Weymouth lost to Framingham despite solid days from Paige Sellon and Abby Reed.

Samantha Kearney went 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs in Cohasset's 13-4 win over Scituate. Maddy Lefevre doubled and drove in 2 RBIs.

Notre Dame Academy's Shannon MacLeod pitched a complete-game 4-hitter with 6 strikeouts and a walk in a 3-1 win over Malden Catholic. She also was 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs. Claire Ferrara was 2-for-3 for NDA (7-2).

BOYS TENNIS

Duxbury defeated Hingham, 4-1. Tim Vargas (first) and Peter Burnham (third) won their singles matches while Tucker Catalano/Willie Pierce (first) and Bennet Stout/Brandon Marconi (second) won their doubles matches.

North Quincy defeated Norwell, 5-0.

GIRLS TENNIS

Hanover defeated Whitman-Hanson, 3-2. W-H's doubles teams of Sophie Ennis/Maddy Morris (first) and Mary Lynam/Maria Santalucia (second) were victorious.

Milton defeated Needham, 3-2.

Norwell defeated North Quincy, 4-1.

Nicole Kimball, Eily Mitchell, Chloe Nichols and Caroline Stull/Selena Georgakopolous won their matches as Bridgewater-Raynham defeated Silver Lake, 4-1.

Notre Dame Academy defeated Plymouth North, 4-1, as Amelia Maw, Sophia Lirio and Vivienne LaGrassa swept the singles matches. NDA's No. 2 doubles team of Molly Dunigan/Julia Walsh also won.

BOYS TRACK & FIELD

Case defeated West Bridgewater, 70-66. In the loss, Kenly Laime won the shot put, high jump, 200m and 4x100m relay.

GIRLS TRACK & FIELD

Case defeated West Bridgewater, 85-51. WB's 4x400m relay team of Brianna DePalma, Leah Perez, Kerri Gomes, and Viv Morales-Wakin won.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Durfee defeated Quincy, 3-1.

North Quincy defeated Taunton, 3-0.

BC High blanked St. John's Prep, 3-0, behind Mason Cleary (19 kills), James Shriver (8 kills) and Liam Poole (5 kills). BC High (11-2) clinched a share of the Catholic Conference crown with the 25-23, 27-25, 25-21 victory.

GIRLS GOLF

Hingham defeated Quincy/North Quincy, 6-0.

NDA beat Bishop Feehan, 4.5-1.5, at South Shore Country Club.
