Anthony Edwards disses Grizzlies' Ja Morant, other NBA stars' shoes in commercial

Which NBA player has the best signature shoe? Anthony Edwards has an idea.

A commercial for Edwards' AE1s shows the Timberwolves star comparing his shoes with those of other NBA players.

"No one touching the AE1s," Edwards says before picking pairs of other shoes out of a bag. Among the ones he picks up and casts aside are signature shoes from Grizzlies star Ja Morant, Mavericks star Luka Doncic and Lakers star LeBron James.

At the end, he picks the AE1s out.

"Oh yeah, these the ones," he says. "The color, the feel, the look, these the ones for sure."

Morant, who is suspended for the first 25 games of the season, unveiled new Ja 1's at Wednesday morning's shootaround.

Morant wore a new pair of Ja 1's that were inspired by Ja Raffe, a giraffe born in November 2020 at the Memphis Zoo and named after Morant.

The first meeting between the Grizzlies and Timberwolves this season is in Memphis on Nov. 26.
