Another Georgia football recruiting win: OL Daniel Calhoun picks UGA Bulldogs

Georgia football’s recruiting run this summer continued on Wednesday when it added a commitment from another mammoth prospect to its 2024 haul.

Offensive lineman Daniel Calhoun, who will be a senior this season at Walton High in Marietta, announced via Instagram and Twitter that he picked the Bulldogs over Alabama, Texas, Tennessee and Auburn.

The 6-foot-7, 350-pound Calhoun played last season at Centennial High in Roswell.

He’s rated a four-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite. Calhoun is the nation’s No. 98 overall prospect and the No. 6 offensive tackle. He visited Georgia on June 6.

Calhoun becomes the 23rd commitment in what’s the nation’s No. 1 ranked recruiting class.

He joins four-star Michael Uini from Texas and three-stars Marcus Harrison from New York and Malachi Toliver from Cartersville as offensive lineman as committed to Georgia and offensive line coach Stacy Searels for 2024.

Calhoun’s brother Vincent started six games last season for Minnesota.
