Angels-Diamondbacks trade talk now involves a third team
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Trade discussions that could bring the Los Angeles Angels a starting pitcher from the Arizona Diamondbacks – Tyler Skaggs and Trevor Cahill were possibilities – by Tuesday morning had widened to include the Chicago White Sox and left-hander Hector Santiago, sources told Yahoo Sports.

The White Sox were believed to have interest in Diamondbacks outfielder Adam Eaton, according to an ESPN.com report.
It was unknown what other players would be involved.
The Angels have lost traction in the AL West in recent seasons primarily because they have not pitched well, and they hope to use their outfield depth – particularly first baseman/outfielder Mark Trumbo – to address those issues. Trumbo has hit at least 29 home runs in each of his first three full seasons.
Earlier this winter, the Angels traded outfielder Peter Bourjos to the St. Louis Cardinals for third baseman David Freese and reliever Fernando Salas.
Eaton is a well-regarded outfield prospect for the Diamondbacks who lost most of last season to an elbow injury. The White Sox scored the fewest runs in the AL last season and seek an upgrade in center field.
