Alabama high school sports: Vote for Gadsden times boys and girls athlete of the Week of Jan. 19

It's that time of the week, time to vote for the Gadsden area boys and girls athlete of the week.

Sardis's Luke Martin won the boys award with 58% of the vote and Westbrook Christian's Addi Hammontree won with 70% of the girls vote last week. Nominees for athlete of the week come from the top performers from the week before. Voting will last until Thursday at noon.

  • Fort Payne's Josh Scott - 22 points, seven rebounds (1 game)

  • Gadsden City's Jakobi Sharp - 19 points, five steals (1 game)

  • Gaston's Peyton Morrison - 28 points (2 games)

  • Hokes Bluff's Landon Davenport - 21 points (1 game)

  • Southside's Trey Morgan - bowled a 637, leads regional (3 games)

Gadsden area girl athlete of the week nominations

  • Southside's Grace Anne Rose - 13 points, seven rebounds (1 game)

  • Plainview's Lauren Jimmerson - 22 points (1 game)

  • Sardis's Kaylen Wallace - 15 point (1 game)

  • Sand Rock's Katelyn St. Clair - 19 points (1 game)

  • Southside's Cora Clontz - bowled a 534, leads regional (3 games)
