Alabama Baseball beats Richmond 14-1 to take the series sweep

The Alabama baseball program got off to a good start to open the 2023 season. The Crimson Tide swept the Richmond Spiders in a three-game series in Tuscaloosa.

On Sunday, Alabama took the series sweep with an impressive pitching performance from super-senior Jacob McNairy. McNairy threw six innings and allowed just one earned run.

The Crimson Tide were not quiet at the plate. Juniors Bryce Eblin and Dominic Tamez led the offensive outburst on Sunday. The two combined to have three hits while also having four runs batted in.

Redshirt-junior Andrew Pinckney and super-senior Drew Williamson also recorded multi-hit games.

Alabama moved to 3-0 on the season with the win. As for the Spiders, they fell to 0-3 on the new season. The Crimson Tide will return to action on Tuesday to face off with the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. CST and will be airing on SEC Network+.
