After a senior-laden team took the University of Akron back to the men's basketball NCAA Tournament, the Zips will have an entirely new look next season.
Akron's season ended Thursday afternoon with a 77-60 loss to Creighton in the first round of March Madness. The Zips finish with a 24-11 record.
When the team reconvenes to start preparing for next season, the Zips will be minus four starters and at least five players overall. The transfer portal, which opened Monday, also could further alter Akron's roster.
