Aggies basketball player Tyrece Radford arrested on Friday

In a report from KBTX, current Texas A&M basketball player Tyrece Radford was arrested Friday. It was indicated that he allegedly evaded police following a traffic stop in December.

Radford was later stopped by Texas A&M University Police but was allowed to drive away denying any claims that he was driving when police attempted to approach his vehicle earlier that night.

Radford was being held on an $8,000 bond. He is expected to plead not guilty to the charges. His attorney released a statement later on Friday that “Tyrece is presumed innocent and we plan to fight these charges and look forward to clearing his good name.”

Radford is in his third season with the Aggies after transferring over from Virginia Tech following the 2020-21 basketball season. He has appeared in 15 games this season averaging 13 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

Aggies Wire will continue to monitor the situation with Radford and provide updates as they become available.
