Adrian College, Siena Heights football home for final time this season

For the final time this season, both Adrian College and Siena Heights football will be home on the same day as the Bulldogs host Alma College and the Saints take on Madonna.

The Saints have a great shot to make it four-straight wins and to lock up a fourth season above .500 in the last six seasons.

SHU (5-4) will play at noon Saturday in its home finale against 0-9 Madonna.

SHU has won three-straight games and during the stretch, running back Ethan LoPresto has hit the 100-yard mark in each game. The Reading graduate's run actually goes to the week prior to give him four-straight games where he's totaled 530 yards on 100 carries (5.3 yards per carry) and five touchdowns.

During the three wins against Taylor, Concordia and Lawrence Tech, the Saints have caused eight turnovers, including five interceptions.

This week they welcome in the Crusaders, who have struggled all season. Madonna averages less than a touchdown per game with 37 points total and have been shutout five times while allowing 48.98 points per game.

ADRIAN

The Bulldogs, currently on five-game losing streak and sitting 1-7 overall and 0-4 in the MIAA. Interim head coach Harry Bailey and his team will take on their toughest challenge yet this season, the undefeated Scots.

No. 17 Alma is lead by quarterback Carter St. John, who has 2,074 yards passing with 26 touchdowns and only three interceptions while rushing for 429 yards and five touchdowns.

St. John's top weapon is Devon Frenchko with 25 receptions for 784 yards and nine touchdowns while Zach Poff has 30 receptions for 395 yards and nine touchdowns.

In the backfield, Eddie Williams and Jordan Willams lead the way with Eddie going for 433 yards on 89 carries and two touchdowns while Jordan has 429 yards on 67 yards and three touchdowns.

Odin Soffredine has 48 tackles and four picks and two sacks while Elijah Jackson has 47 tackles and a sack to lead the defense.
