ACC football 2023 preseason media poll: Clemson, Florida State picked as favorites

Clemson football remains the favorite to win the ACC, according to the league’s 2023 preseason media poll.

The Tigers, who beat North Carolina in the ACC Championship last season, picked up 103 first-place votes in a poll of 176 media voters. Florida State picked up 67 first-place votes, followed by North Carolina (5) and NC State (1).

The Tar Heels were picked to finish third in the league, followed by NC State (4), Miami (5), Duke (t6), Pitt (t6), Louisville (8), Wake Forest (9), Syracuse (10), Virginia Tech (11), Georgia Tech (12), Boston College (13) and Virginia (14).

The ACC has eliminated divisions, so the top two teams in the conference standings will meet in Charlotte on Dec. 2 to play for the ACC Championship at Bank of America Stadium.

The preseason all-conference selections will be announced Wednesday.
