AAU Gymnastics competes at Alpha Elfie Invitational
Dec. 20—The Champion AAU Gymnastics Team ended 2023 shining at the Alpha Elfie Invitational in Norman December 16. The team earned two All-Around Championships, twenty-seven top-three finishes & numerous placement awards.
Olivia Booth of Ada took 1st on Vault with a 9.5, 2nd on Beam, 3rd on Bars and 4th on Floor. Booth was the 1st Place All-Around Champion with a score of 37.3 in the Xcel Silver Division B.
Emma Groves of Ada took 1st on Bars, 2nd on Vault, 4th on Beam and 4th on Floor. Groves was the 1st Place All-Around Champion with a score of 36.35 in the Xcel Silver Division C.
Kendall Kates of Ada took 1st on Bars with a 9.7, 2nd on Vault, 2nd on Floor and 6th on Bars. Kates was the 2nd Place All-Around Runner Up with a score of 37.25 in the Xcel Silver Division B. Kendall earned the highest score of
the Xcel Silver Division meet on the uneven bars with a 9.7!
Makenna McBride of Ada took 1st on Bars with a 9.5, 3rd on Beam and 4th on Floor. McBride was the 2nd Place All-Around Runner Up with a score of 36.5 in the Xcel Silver Division D. Rey of Ada took 2nd on Floor, 3rd on Beam, 3rd on Bars and 4th on Beam. Rey finished 3rd in the All-Around with a score of 36.35 in the Xcel Bronze Division A.
Matti Harjo of Ada took 1st on Beam with a 9.6, 2nd on Bars with a 9.5 and 6th Place All-Around with a score of 36.4 in the Xcel Bronze Division C. Tavey Hunt of Ada took 1st on Floor with a 9.5, 2nd on Vault and 5th on Bars. Hunt finished 4th in the All-Around Champion with a score of 36.9 in the Xcel Bronze Division B.
Kynlee Hawley of Ada took 1st on Bars with a 9.5, 2nd on Beam and 8th Floor. Hawley finished 7th Place in the All-Around with a score of 36.1 in the Xcel Silver Division D. Finley Impson of Ada took 1st on Floor, 4th on Vault and 6th on Beam. Impson finished 5th Place in the All-Around Xcel Bronze Division A.
Jesse Stevens of Tupelo took 2nd on Bars, 5th on Beam and 6th on Floor. Stevens was 4th in the All-Around in the Xcel Bronze Division A.
Lyla Boyles of Ada took 3rd on Bars, 3rd on Vault, 5th on Floor and 6th on Beam. Boyles finished 5th Place in the All-Around with a score of 36.8 in the Xcel Bronze Division B.
Emma Smith of Davis took 3rd on Vault, 6th on Bars, 7th on Beam and Floor. Smith finished 7th Place in the All-Around with a score of 36.2 in the Xcel Silver Division B. Madison Wood of Ada took 3rd on Vault, 4th on Beam and 6th on Bars. Wood finished 7th Place All Around in the Xcel Bronze Division A.
Claire Pacheco of Ada took 5th on Bars, 5th on Beam and 6th on Vault. Pacheco finished 7th in the All-Around with a score of 36 in the Xcel Silver Division D. Tesla Joy of Ada took 6th on Bars, 7th on Beam, 8th on Vault and finished 8th Place in the All Around in the All-Around Xcel Silver Division D.
Kennedy Matheny of Ada took 6th on Bars and finished in 8th Place in the All-Around Xcel Bronze Division B.
Madison Bruton of Ada took 6th on Bars and finished in 8th Place in the All-Around Xcel Silver Division A.
Amiah Quarterman of Ada finished in 12th Place in the All-Around Xcel Silver Division B.
Tenley Bush of Ada finished in 12th in the All-Around Xcel Silver Division D.
