Aaron Maybin retires

Former Buffalo Bills first-round outside linebacker Aaron Maybin has retired, the Toronto Argonauts announced.

Maybin, 26, played for the Bills, New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals.

The former Penn State All-American had six sacks for the Jets as a situational pass rusher during the 2011 season.

He was drafted 11th overall by the Bills in 2009, but never recorded a sack.

He played in one game last season for the Argonauts last November with two tackles against the Montreal Alouettes.

He was placed on the Argonauts' retired list today.
