6 Jaguars finish top 10 in fan voting for 2024 Pro Bowl Games
The rosters for the 2024 Pro Bowl Games will be announced Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET.
Ahead of the announcement, the NFL released the list of the players who received the most votes from fans and it included six members of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fan voting accounts for a third of the calculation for Pro Bowl nods with votes from players and coaches accounting for the other two-thirds.
So although the fan vote results don’t necessarily mean a player will earn a spot in the Pro Bowl Games, it’s a great start. With the roster announcements just hours away, here are the six Jaguars player who finished top 10 at their position in fan votes:
Josh Allen (4th at OLB)
Allen has a franchise-record 16.5 sacks this season and is just 0.5 sacks behind T.J. Watt and Trey Hendrickson for the league lead. The Dolphins’ Bradley Chubb was the only AFC outside linebacker who got more fan votes.
Travis Etienne (6th at RB)
Etienne needs 49 rushing yards Sunday against the Titans to reach 1,000 yards this season. Add in his 446 receiving yards and Etienne is fourth in the NFL in yards from scrimmage. The Dolphins’ Raheem Mostert and Bills’ James Cook are the only AFC running backs who got more fan votes.
Andre Cisco (8th at FS)
While Cisco’s season has slowed after a torrid pace to start the year, he still has three interceptions, one forced fumble, and a half sack. He finished fourth in the AFC behind the Dolphins’ Jevon Holland, Ravens’ Geno Stone, and Broncos’ Justin Simmons.
Logan Cooke (8th at P)
Cooke is fifth in the NFL in net yards per punt (43.6) and third in percentage of punts downed inside the 20 (48.3 percent). He finished behind the Jets’ Thomas Morstead, Raiders’ A.J. Cole, Browns’ Corey Bojorquez, Ravens’ Jordan Stout, and Patriots’ Bryce Baringer in the AFC.
Foye Oluokun (9th at ILB)
Oluokun is the NFL’s back-to-back tackling champion and has a chance to make it three years in a row. He’s never been a Pro Bowler, though. Oluokun was fifth in the AFC behind the Jets’ Quincy Williams, Ravens’ Roquan Smith, Bills’ Terrel Bernard, and the Ravens’ Patrick Queen.
Evan Engram (9th at TE)
Engram barely cracking the top 10 is maybe the biggest head scratcher. He leads all tight ends in receptions (104) and he’s fourth at the position in receiving yards (884). The Chiefs’ Travis Kelce, Browns’ David Njoku, and Dolphins’ Durham Smythe finished ahead of Engram in the AFC, though.
