59 days till Bengals season opener: Every player to wear No. 59 for Cincinnati

The No. 59 has been an interesting one for the Cincinnati Bengals over the years.

Back in the mid-2000s, Landon Johnson held it down at linebacker for a few years, then gave the number to Brandon Johnson. Nick Vigil later held it for three years and now it belongs to the super-athletic Akeem Davis-Gaither.

Davis-Gaither is the latest in a line of linebackers capable of making the number one of the more prestigious in franchise history.

With roughly 59 days standing between the Bengals and the season-opening showdown with the Cleveland Browns, here’s a look at every player in franchise history to wear the number, courtesy of the history-keepers at Pro Football Reference.
