Here are 51 of the top high school girls cross-country runners in Wisconsin in 2023
Not counting for any surprises, the starting line at the WIAA girls state cross-country meet in October will have a lot of familiar faces.
Not only do all three division state champions return in Sara Mlodik from D.C. Everest, Faith Wehrman from New Berlin Eisenhower and Addy Duellman from Cochrane-Fountain City, but four of the top five finishers from both Division 1 and Division 2 and the top five finishers from Division 3 all return this season.
This year’s state meet is Oct. 28 at Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids, and here are 51 of the top runners in the state looking to make their mark.
Ella Anschutz, so., Muskego
Finished sixth at the WIAA Division 1 state meet with a time of 18 minutes, 57.9 seconds, leading the Warriors to the state team title.
Mackenzie Babcock, jr., Monona Grove
Finished fourth at the Division 1 state meet with a time of 18:29.1.
Sophia Bablitch, sr., Rosholt
Finished seventh at the Division 3 state meet with a time of 19.29.3.
