5-star OT Jordan Seaton announces commitment date with Ducks among top choices

Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks are going to learn in a matter of days whether or not they are able to add a third 5-star recruit to their 2024 class.

It was announced on Monday afternoon that 5-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton has set his commitment date for December 7th, when he will choose his final destination between Oregon, Florida, Ohio State, Tennessee, Alabama, and Maryland.

Seaton is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 15 overall player in the 2024 class, and the No. 1 OT in the nation. He would be a massive addition for the Ducks, who already have a commitment from 4-star OT JacQaen McRoy, the No. 6 OT and No. 78 overall player in the 2024 class.

Standing at 6-foot-5, 290 pounds, Seaton would be a big-time body on the offensive front, slotting in at either right tackle or left tackle. We’ve seen what OL coach A’lique Terry has been able to do so far in his one season with the Ducks, and expectations are high for him to continue that success going forward.

With the addition of Seaton, Oregon’s current No. 7-ranked recruiting class would jump up to the No. 4 spot in the nation, passing both Alabama and Miami.
