4-star 2023 Florida commit tells 247Sports he is recruiting for the Gators

Florida Gators’ four-star 2023 OL commit Knijeah Harris recently spoke to 247Sports Blake Alderman that, despite his busy high school football season, he is actively recruiting for the Orange and Blue.

The IMG Academy prospect committed to the Gators back in May and was in attendance for Florida’s 31-28 victory over USF. He is in constant contact with the Florida staff and relished the opportunity to be in Gainesville again for a home game.

The 6-foot-3-inch, 335-pound lineman was very vocal about who he is actively recruiting. He name-dropped a pair of four-star Florida State commits: Roderick Kearney & Lucas Simmons. Kearney has recently taken multiple unofficial visits to Gainesville. He was in attendance for the Gators’ win over Utah and came back the next weekend for the Kentucky game, fueling speculation that he could flip his commitment from the Seminoles to the Orange and Blue.

If the Gators are going to continue to be a big name on the recruiting trail, having blue-chip prospects like Harris in the ear of uncommitted (or committed elsewhere) blue-chip prospects will play to their advantage. Pair that with the importance Billy Napier and his staff have put on recruiting, and the Gators are in a good position to be successful on early signing day in December.
