2025 4-Star QB out of Corona (CA) has placed Texas A&M in his Top 8 program list

Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko has already secured four commits in the Aggies 2025 recruiting cycle, led by 4-star running back Deondrae “Tiger” Riden, who announced his intentions late last month.

With an eye on solidifying the quarterback position for the future, Elko and his staff have been in constant contact with 2025 4-star QB Husan Longstreet out of Corona, California, one of the elite offensive prospects the cycle has to offer. While the Aggies’ quarterback room is set for the 2024 season, nothing is set in stone beyond this year, primarily due to the evergrowing transfer portal.

On Monday, Longstreet, who recently visited College Station for A&M’s annual junior day, the incoming senior announced his Top 8 program list, along with his official announcement date set for next month.

Unsurprisingly, Texas A&M has joined Oregon, Michigan, Ole Miss, UCLA, Auburn, Louisville, and Miami. At the same time, Longstreet will announce on Sunday, April 14, just six days before A&M’s Maroon & White Spring Game on April 20.

Coming off of an impressive 2023 junior season, Longstreet completed 199/298 for 3,013 yards, 24 touchdowns, and just six interceptions, with 645 rushing yards and seven scores. Standing at 6-1 and 185 pounds, Longstreet possesses one of the strongest arms in the 2025 cycle, coupled with a quick release and impressive accuracy.

According to 247Sports, Longstreet is currently positioned as the 53rd-ranked player in the 2025 recruiting class, the 5th-ranked quarterback, and the No. 1-ranked player in California.
