2024 NFL offseason calendar for Lions fans

The Lions’ offseason started back on January 8, 2023, but this year it ends on January 28.

February 1: East West Shrine Bowl

February 3: Senior Bowl

Location: Mobile, Alabama

February 20 to March 5: NFL teams may designate tags on players

NFL teams may designate tags on players such as transition or franchise tags. Key free agents for the Lions are:

February 27 to March 4: NFL Scouting Combine

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Where to watch: Times vary based on position schedule, all testing is viewable on NFL Network

March 13: NFL Free Agency Begins

Start time: 4:00 PM EST/1:00 PM PST

Note: Clubs can start negotiations with their free agents on March 11.

April 15: Teams begin offseason workouts

April 19: Deadline for restricted free agets to sign

If a player is tagged by their team via a transition or franchise tag this is the deadline for them to sign.

April 25 to 27: NFL Draft
