2024 NFL draft mock: Daniel Jeremiah sends Bills surprise in Round 1
The Buffalo Bills had a surprise waiting for them in Daniel Jeremiah’s latest 2024 NFL draft mock.
We still have plenty of time, namely free agency, until the upcoming draft. Needs and wants could change before April.
At current the time, many are looking at the receiver or playmaker positions \when it comes to Buffalo and the draft. Instead, Jeremiah’s surprise is a pass rusher over at NFL.com.
Penn State’s Chop Robinson is sent to the Bills as a replacement for potential losses that team could have this offseason.
Over the past two seasons and 22 games, the 6-foot-3 pass rusher had 17.5 sacks in 22 games played. He’s also forced three fumbles. The Draft Network has a praised first step off the line of scrimmage and high motor listed for Robinson. However, his run defense and even number of moves as a pass rusher is a cause for concern.
Below is how Jeremiah breaks down the Robinson to Bills selection and some of his highlights:
The production won’t wow you, but the traits are there. The Bills could suffer some losses off the edge in free agency with contracts expiring for Leonard Floyd and A.J. Epenesa. Robinson could be the new pass-rushing partner for Greg Rousseau.

The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Love how Chop Robinson consistently flattens is pass rush (arch) once he has a step on the tackle. No wasted movement and closes in the blink of an eye. #NFLDraft2024pic.twitter.com/DlLBkqy2Hd
