The ribs will be judged on five categories: Appearance, Taste/Flavor, Tenderness, Smoke and Wood Balance and Aftertaste. Sauces will be judged on three categories: Flavor Profile, Texture and Overall Taste. A panel of pre-selected judges will taste and score the ribs and sauces blindly over the two days.

On May 25, the five celebrity judges are Bobby Bell, Pro Football Hall of Famer and longtime barbecue restaurateur; Frank Hill, executive chef of Burrata Italian Kitchen; Betsy Kling, chief meteorologist at WKYC-TV; William Sherer, mayor of Canton; and Guy Souheaver, an executive at Constellation Energy, a Hall of Fame partner.

Those who attend on May 24 will welcome to Canton the Class of 2024 presented by Visual Edge IT, as the class members unveil their banner outside the Hall and cut the ribbon on the featured exhibit inside the museum highlighting their football careers.

A meet-and-greet with the Class of 2024 will be from 11 a.m. until noon Friday, allowing ticket purchasers to meet and take photos with the newly elected Hall of Famers. The first 100 people to purchase a ticket will receive a commemorative item at the Hall of Fame. To purchase tickets to the meet and greet, visit the shortened link https://tinyurl.com/bdd3svfu.
