2022 NFL Draft Round 1: Titans trade 26th pick to New York Jets for picks 35, 69 and 163

The first round of the 2022 NFL Draft was held Thursday night in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Here were some of the top moments as well as reaction, grades and more:

Grading the NFL draft picks

There was a run on defensive players early on and several wide receivers were selected afterwards.

It was also a record-setting night for trades including a pair that featured the Titans.

Follow along here for a real-time tracker of each first-round pick, complete with grades.

Packers make history

Selecting Georgia defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt with the 28th pick, Green Bay made draft history.

Instead of drafting weapons to replace Davante Adams and helping Aaron Rodgers on the offensive side of the ball, Green Bay drafted a pair of Georgia teammates in the first round.

Green Bay selected Georgia linebacker Quay Walker with 22nd pick making them the first team to select a pair of college teammates in the first round.

Titans trade 26th pick to Jets

For the second time in the first round, the Titans were involved with a trade,

Tennessee opted to move back instead of moving up this time trading the 26th pick to the Jets. New York received the 26th and 101st pick while the Titans received picks 35, 69 and 163.

The Jets drafted Florida State defensive end Jermaine Johnson II with the pick.

Pickett becomes first quarterback drafted

Pittsburgh found its quarterback of the future.

After sitting and waiting patiently, the Steelers selected Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett with the 20th pick making him the first quarterback selected in the draft.

Pickett's selection was the latest a quarterback had been drafted since 1997.

He was the only quarterback selected the first round making it just the second time that has happened in the last 20 years.

Titans trade AJ Brown to Philadelphia, draft Treylon Burks

The first blockbuster trade of the draft featured the Titans.

ESPN's Dianna Russini and Adam Schefter reported that Tennessee was trading Brown to Philadelphia for the 18th pick and a third round pick.

Tennessee selected Arkansas wide receiver Treylon Burks with the pick.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that the Eagles immediately gave Brown a four-year, $100 million extension with $57 million guaranteed following the trade.

Ravens trade Hollywood Brown to Arizona

Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown will be joining his old Oklahoma teammate after being traded on draft night.

Baltimore traded Brown to Arizona for the 23rd and 100th pick.

Back-to-back-to-back trades

New Orleans executed the first trade of the NFL draft trading with the Washington Commanders up to the 11th pick.

The Saints added Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave with the pick.

Not to be outdone, Detroit followed up the Saints pick trading with division-rival Minnesota for the 13th pick and taking Alabama receiver Jameson Williams.

Philadelphia traded with Houston for the 13th pick. The Eagles selected Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis.

Ekwonu becomes first offensive player off the board

The first five picks of the draft were all defensive.

Carolina broke that trend drafting North Carolina State offensive lineman Ikem Ekwonu at No. 6.

A Giant surprise with pick No. 5

While many experts tabbed the Giants as taking an offensive lineman with the fifth pick, the New York Giants decided to go with a need on the other side of the ball first.

The Giants selected Oregon defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux with the pick. New York addressed their offensive line two picks later drafting Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal with seventh pick.

Travon Walker selected No. 1 by Jacksonville

After months of speculation, the Jaguars selected Georgia defensive end Travon Walker with the first pick in this year's NFL Draft.

Walker is the first defensive end to be taken with the first pick since Cleveland drafted Myles Garrett in 2017.

Detroit selected Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson minutes after.
