2 ex-Giants named to 2023 All-USFL Team

The 2023 USFL regular season has come to a close and the playoffs are now underway. That also means it’s time for some year-end awards, including the All-USFL Team.

“We are very grateful to our players, coaches, and general managers for the brand of football played in USFL Season 2. There were a lot of difficult decisions to help determine the best players at 28 positions on offense, defense, and special teams,” said Daryl Johnston, President of Football Operations.

“There were many players who were worthy of recognition in our highly competitive second season. Every team had at least two players named All-USFL, which is proof of the remarkable parity across the league. USFL fans are the ultimate winners as they got to enjoy watching these outstanding athletes play some incredible football.”

Of those 28 players, two are former members of the New York Giants.

Wide receiver Corey Coleman, who plays for the Philadelphia Stars, spent three seasons with the Giants from 2018 through 2020. He led the USFL with 51 receptions for 669 yards while also adding four touchdowns.

Offensive tackle Jarron Jones, who plays for the Memphis Showboats, signed with the Giants as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2017 and also spent some time on their practice squad in 2018. He started all 10 games this season and was named All-USFL for the second consecutive season.
