10 Iowa Hawkeyes named to East-West Shrine Bowl 1000

The Iowa Hawkeyes have an extremely healthy pipeline of NFL talent year after year. Be it high draft picks, mid-round talents that blossom into solid players with long careers, or undrafted free agents that stick with a team due to their Iowa pedigree, there is no mistaking the talent developed in Iowa City.

That is why there are 10 Iowa Hawkeyes that find themselves among the East-West Shrine Bowl 1000 as the season is about to kick off. The list is comprised of the top 1,000 players that are going to make up the next group of talent that NFL teams and scouts evaluate.

From this list, the top seniors from their respective teams will be selected to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl. That game will take place on Feb. 1, 2024, in Frisco, Texas.

Here are the Hawkeyes that are among the top players in the nation.

Cade McNamara, QB

Iowa’s biggest storyline all offseason and heading into the season is Cade McNamara. The proven winner joins an Iowa offense begging for him to spark some success.

Erick All, TE

A newcomer with expectations is where Erick All finds himself. The supremely athletic tight end will pair with Luke Lachey as Iowa looks to revamp its passing game.

At center, Logan Jones has a lot on his plate from blitz pickups to blocking schemes. The returning offensive lineman should take another step forward this year with more experience under his built.

A seasoned veteran up front on defense, Logan Lee does all of the little things right. He will be a staple for the Hawkeyes’ defensive front this season.

A future NFL-er, Luke Lachey is gearing up for his time as the top tight end for the Hawkeyes. He flashed potential in his limited time last year and looks to build on it in 2023.

Mason Richman, OL

One of the leaders on Iowa’s offensive line that is looking to return to form this year, Mason Richman could be the spark up front needed to get the ground game going and stonewall defenders in the pass rush.

Noah Shannon, DL

Noah Shannon has a chance to be Iowa’s next big-time defensive lineman. His strength and force is built for the Big Ten and could have his name becoming very popular this season.

Quinn Schulte, S

As steady as they come, Quinn Schulte is helping fortify the backend of the Iowa defense. He is in store for another chance to shine this season as he brings in even more experience.

Tory Taylor, P

Iowa’s best weapon and their special teams ace in the hole, Tory Taylor may be the best punter in America. It is not a matter of if he goes to play in the NFL, it is simply when and for how long.
