Whether they’re home cooks or professional chefs showing off their skills, the creative cooks of TikTok have invented a wide variety of recipes that have gone viral for good reason. From exciting twists on old classics to totally new culinary inventions, here are 10 of the top TikTok cooking trends of 2021.

Easy to make, aesthetically pleasing and, best of all, delicious! TikTok’s viral baked feta has it all. Plus, all you need to make it is a block of feta, pasta and seasonings (and cherry tomatoes, if you’d like that, too).

2. Watermelon with mustard

This watermelon with mustard snack got mixed reviews from TikTokers, but you have to give credit for creativity. While some found it distasteful and others, like Lizzo, were simply confused, many TikTokers swear the strange combination of the sweet fruit with the savory, spicy condiment is out-of-this-world delicious.

Tea bombs have to be one of TikTok’s most beautiful food and beverage trends of the year. These round spheres are full of colorful tea leaves and transform an everyday beverage into a vibrant showstopper.

This mind-blowingly simple tortilla-folding hack ensures you get the perfect ratio of ingredients in every bite! All you need to do is make a single cut into a tortilla, place your ingredients of choice in each quadrant and fold.

6. Baked oats

TikTokers have figured out a way to magically turn oatmeal into a cake! Baked oats make a great breakfast or dessert and are infinitely customizable.

7. Salmon rice bowl

TikTok couldn’t get enough of this salmon rice bowl, which transforms boring old leftover salmon into an exciting new meal. All it takes to make the transformation is some rice and condiments you probably already have in your fridge.
