New York Red Bulls clear-out continues as 10 players have options declined

The New York Red Bulls announced on Monday that the club would not be picking up the contract options of 10 first team players, continuing a clear-out process that began with Sporting Director Erik Soler in October and also saw manager Hans Backe out after leading the Red Bulls to a playoff exit at the hands of arch rival D.C. United.

The list consists of forwards Jose Angulo, Jhonny Arteaga, and Corey Hertzog; midfielders Jan Gunnar Solli and Teemu Tainio; defenders Jonathan Borrajo, Stephen Keel, and Tyler Ruthven; and goalkeepers Bill Gaudette and Jeremy Vuolo.

The players will be available for selection in the 2012 Major League Soccer Re-Entry draft.
