Warriors G Curry has mild concussion
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has been diagnosed with a mild concussion after hitting his head on the court during the fourth quarter of Monday night victory over the Utah Jazz, the team announced Tuesday.
Curry will not play in Wednesday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies and his status moving forward is day-to-day.
In 10 games this season, Curry is averaging 19.9 points, 8.7 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.70 steals in 32.7 minutes per contest.
Curry was injured in the fourth quarter of the 98-87 victory at Utah. The star point guard left the game after hitting his head on the court in a scramble for a loose ball.
The Warriors said Tuesday that Curry's only symptom was a headache, which had since dissipated.
Curry scored 22 points and dished out eight assists before leaving Monday's game.
"I've got a pretty nasty headache. I hit the ground pretty hard, but I'll be all right," Curry said after the game. "Thankfully, the guys sealed the deal when I left."
