The Ultimate Fighter Live Fighter Bonuses: Two KOs of the Night

TUF Live Finale TV Ratings Slightly Higher Than Past Few Weeks

The Ultimate Fighting Championship handed out $40,000 bonuses and two Knockout of the Night honors for in-Octagon performances at The Ultimate Fighter: Live Finale. Justin Lawrence, Martin Kampmann, John Cofer and Michael Chiesa took home the bonus checks.

The Fight of the Night bonus went to Justin Lawrence and John Cofer. The two went back and forth on their feet through two rounds before Lawrence landed a highlight reel, high kick knockout in the opening seconds of the third round.

Lawrence doubled his bonus money by taking home Fight of the Night and Knockout of the Night honors.

Martin Kampmann was awarded the other Knockout of the Night bonus for his come-from-behind knockout win over Jake Ellenberger in the main event. Ellenberger dropped Kampmann with a left hook in the first round, but the Dane survived. In the second round, Kampmann caught Ellenberger with a straight right hand and wobbled him then finished with knees from the clinch.

Submission of the Night was awarded to Michael Chiesa for his first-round submission of Al Iaquinta to win The Ultimate Fighter: Live title. Iaquinta pressured with strikes early before Chiesa found an opening to get the fight to the ground. He took Iaquinta’s back and locked on a rear naked choke that rendered Iaquinta unconscious.

The sum of fighter bonuses awarded following The Ultimate Fighter 15 Finale totaled $200,000.
