UFC on FOX 18 Fighter Bonuses: Anthony Johnson Picks Up Extra $50K for Quick Finish
UFC on FOX 18: Johnson vs. Bader on Saturday night marked the Ultimate Fighting Championship's return to the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. The main event featured Anthony “Rumble” Johnson vs. Ryan Bader in a five-round light heavyweight bout.
As is customary, UFC officials handed out post-fight awards, accompanied by $50,000 bonus checks for the winners.
Johnson picked up a Performance of the Night bonus for his first-round finish of Bader in the fight card's main event. Bader immediately tried to get the fight to the ground and found himself on the bottom. Johnson moved to the mount position and put Bader to sleep with punches.

The Fight of the Night honor went to bantamweights Jimmie Rivera and Iuri Alcântara. The two engaged in a back-and-forth battle on the main card. Rivera emerged as the winner by unanimous decision after fifteen minutes of fighting. It was his 18th consecutive win.
“Big” Ben Rothwell earned a Performance of the Night bonus for his second-round submission of Josh Barnett in the fight card's co-main event. midway through the second frame, as Barnett worked to get the fight to the ground, Rothwell applied what he cals a gogo choke and forced Barnett to tap out. It was the first time in Barnett's 19-year mixed marital arts career that he was finished by legitimate submission.
