TUF 16 TV Ratings Inch Up as Season Winds Down

The Ultimate Fighter’s latest iteration is winding down, but the latest TV ratings for the show are on the upswing… if only slightly.

Last Friday’s TUF 16 Episode 11 pulled in 804,000 viewers. That’s up just a bit over Episode 10, which floundered to 643,000, nearing the series’ historical low point of 624,000 set earlier in the season.

Episode 11 marked the last of the quarterfinal bouts and the paring up of the semifinal match-ups.

Past seasons have sometimes featured teammate vs. teammate in the finale, but this season there have already been several teammate vs. teammate bouts, and there will be more in the semifinals to ensure that coaches Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson each have a fighter in the final round.

Nelson teammates Jon Manley and Colton Smith will faceoff in one half of the semifinal round, while Carwin fighters Mike Ricci and Neil Magny will determine the other finalist.

The TUF 16 Finale takes place on Dec. 15 live at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
