Tiges' Cabrera leaves game with injury

Detroit Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera left Friday's game against Cleveland in the second inning with an irritation in his abdominal area.

The abdominal issue forced Cabrera to leave Thursday's game as well, but he felt well enough to start Friday's game.

But he didn't last long. Cabrera struck out in his only plate appearance before being replaced by Andy Dirks at third base.

The Tigers are listing Cabrera's status as day-to-day for the time being.

Cabrera leads the American League in batting (.358) and RBIs (130), and his 43 homers trail Baltimore's Chris Davis by four.
