Texans Fall to Eagles, 31-21
DeAndre Hopkins had a big day, but it wasn't enough to avoid a difficult loss for the Texans against the Eagles, 31-21, at home.
Ryan Fitzpatrick accounted for two touchdown on 13 of 27 passing for 203 yards and one pick. Mark Sanchez ended up going 15 of 22 with 202 yards passing, two touchdowns and two picks for the Eagles.
Arian Foster was a standout player for the Texans, rushing for 56 yards on 15 attempts in addition to two receptions for 63 yards and a score. In the second quarter, he got open for a 56-yard catch for a score. Hopkins was a leading receiver, hauling in six balls for 115 yards while adding a touchdown.
The Houston defense had a decent game, highlighted by giving up 190 yards rushing and 326 passing while taking back one interception for a touchdown. They manhandled Sanchez with four sacks.
Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin could not be contained, putting up 158 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Running back LeSean McCoy also put together a noteworthy performance with 117 rushing yards.
Next week, the Texans head to Cleveland to face the Browns (5-3) while the Eagles host the Panthers (3-5).
