Sutter: Richards '50-50' to play Game 5

Los Angeles Kings center Mike Richards, who is recovering from a concussion, participated in the team's morning skate and might play Saturday night.

The Kings play the host Chicago Blackhawks in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals on Saturday night.

Richards sustained the concussion during Game 1 of the best-of-seven series.

"It's possible, it's 50-50," Kings coach Darryl Sutter of Richards' chances of playing, according to ESPN.

Richards still has to be cleared by doctors as part of the league's concussion protocol before he can suit up.

"It's progress," Sutter said. "I don't want to say anything; I said it last time prior to Game 2 that he was playing and then he didn't ... We nearly had to make more than one change. I'll just stay away from it and follow protocol."

Chicago leads the series 3-1.
