Surgery upcoming on his arm, Broncos will be without DeMarcus Ware 4-5 weeks

This may be DeMarcus Ware’s 20th NFL season, but he’s still effective. On Sunday, as he was trying to sack the Colts’ Andrew Luck, the Denver Broncos’ situational pass-rusher missed and his momentum sent him crashing into teammate Von Miller.

The collision gave Ware a broken ulna in his right arm. Via multiple reports, Ware will undergo surgery to repair the fracture on Tuesday, and will be out 4-to-5 weeks.

Ware was already credited with 2.0 sacks in the six-plus quarters he’s played this season. Last year, playing in 11 games (10 starts), Ware had 7.5 sacks. The nine-time Pro Bowler is one of the Broncos’ locker room leaders, a role he will continue to hold as he recovers from his injury.
