Steelers trade for RB Jones

The Pittsburgh Steelers acquired running back Felix Jones from the Philadelphia Eagles for linebacker Adrian Robinson.

Jones was a first round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 2008. In five seasons with Dallas, Jones rushed for 2,728 yards with 11 touchdowns. He also caught 127 passes for 1,062 yards with three touchdowns. In that span, Jones is the only player in the NFL to have a 60-plus yards touchdown run, a 70-plus yards touchdown reception and a 90-plus yards kickoff return for a touchdown.

Jones signed a one-year deal with the Eagles in May.

The Steelers also have Le'Veon Bell, Jonathan Dwyer, Isaac Redman and LaRod Stephens-Howling in their backfield. Bell is out indefinitely with a foot sprain.

Robinson signed with the Steelers as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Temple in 2012. He played on special teams in 12 games last season.
