Rolando McClain arrested...again

A member of the Ravens for only nine days, Rolando McClain’s fresh start in Baltimore has already been marred by the type of nonsense that got the linebacker run out of Oakland.

WHNT news in Alabama is reporting that McClain was arrested Sunday evening for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in his hometown of Decatur. This latest run-in with the law marks the third time since 2011 that McClain has been arrested in his hometown.

ICONRolando McClain was once again arrested in his hometown of Decatur, Alabama.

According to the report, McClain and several other people were ordered by police to leave a park that they had gathered in earlier in the evening. McClain allegedly refused the request and then proceeded to curse at the officers on the scene. He was then handcuffed and taken to jail before bonding out Sunday evening.

Selected eighth overall in the 2010 draft by the Oakland Raiders, McClain started just nine games for the Silver & Black last season before getting the chop at the beginning of April. The 23-year-old was out of work for only a few days before the linebacker-needy Ravens signed him to a one-year deal with a base salary of $700,000.

We’ll know soon enough if this latest addition to McClain’s rap sheet has any effect on his status with the Ravens. Should Baltimore decide to roll the dice and keep the linebacker around, McClain will need to start producing on Sundays if he plans to have any future at all in the National Football League.
