Reports: MIchigan State to hire former Ohio State OC Bollman

Michigan State is expected to name former Ohio State assistant Jim Bollman as its new offensive coordinator, according to multiple reports.

Bollman would replace Dan Roushar, who left Michigan State in early February for the New Orleans Saints, coachingsearch.com and footballscoop.com reported Wednesday. The school has yet to make an announcement.

Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio and Bollman worked together at Youngstown State, on Nick Saban's Spartans staff in the 1990s and for former coach Jim Tressel at Ohio State.

Bollman will leave Purdue about a month after he was hired by new coach Darrell Hazell to be the Boilermakers' offensive line coach. He served as Ohio State's offensive coordinator and offensive line coach under Tressel and interim coach Luke Fickell but was not retained by Urban Meyer when he was hired in 2011. Bollman spent the 2012 season as offensive line coach at Boston College.
