Report: TCU QB Pachall returns to school
Texas Christian quarterback Casey Pachall, who left school for three months to address personal issues, is back on the TCU campus and is scheduled to begin classes on Monday, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.
Pachall completed an out-patient treatment for substance abuse on Thursday, according to the report.
Pachall had been TCU's starting quarterback at the beginning of the 2012 season, be he was arrested in early October and suspended indefinitely by the football program following a drunk-driving charge. He left school to enter a rehab program.
Trevone Boykin replaced Pachall in the starting lineup, and those two are expected to battle for the starting job in the spring. Pachall has one year of eligibility remaining.
"He looks great," Patterson told the Star-Telegram regarding Pachall. "It's like he looked when he was a freshman. Right now, we feel really good about this. It's never going to be 100 percent perfect but there is a chance we did the right thing and made a difference. You've got to understand, everybody is going to be watching on this."
Pachall played in four games this past season, competing 66 percent of his throws with 10 touchdown passes and one interception.
