Report: Stan Van Gundy top choice for Bucks

Stan Van Gundy has emerged as the Milwaukee Bucks' top target for its next head coach, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.

A day after head coach Jim Boylan was fired in the wake of a sweep by the Miami Heat, the Bucks are looking at the former Orlando Magic coach.

Houston Rockets assistant coach Kelvin Sampson also is near the top of the wish list, sources told Yahoo! Sports, which also listed Los Angeles Lakers assistant Steve Clifford and Golden State Warriors assistant Mike Malone as candidates.

Van Gundy has a 579-371 record (.641) as head coach with the Magic and Miami Heat. In seven full seasons as a head coach, Van Gundy's teams have reached the NBA Finals once.
