Report: Cowher in car accident in NYC

Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher avoided significant injury during a car accident in New York City on Sunday afternoon, according to the New York Daily News.

Cowher was driving a black Mercedes-Benz when he was cut off by a woman driving a Ford Fusion, according to the police report and witnesses. Cowher's car then hit the Fusion, sending it into scaffolding and sending construction material onto E. 92nd St.

No one was hospitalized, according to the report.

Cowher, who coached the Steelers from 1992-2006, currently works as an analyst for CBS' "The NFL Today" show during football season.
