Replacement refs mess up coin toss

Replacement referees did not get off to a good start in the first NFL preseason game on Sunday in Canton, Ohio.

With the regular referees involved in a contract dispute with the NFL, replacement referees were in change for the Hall of Fame game between the Saints and Cardinals.

After the coin was tossed before the game, the official announced the Saints had won the toss and elected to defer to the second half.

After about a half-minute, it was announced that a mistake had been made and that the Saints had elected to receive.
