Redskins OL Black suspended four games

Washington Redskins offensive tackle Jordan Black was suspended without pay Monday for four regular-season and postseason games after violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.

Black will begin serving the suspension immediately, the NFL said in a statement. He will be eligible to return to the active roster the day after the fourth regular-season or postseason game.

The former Notre Dame player returned to the NFL this year after a year out of football. Before coming to the Redskins, he was with Jacksonville, Houston and Kansas City, starting 40 of 94 career games.

Black had played in all 14 games this season for the Redskins.
