Rams finalize coaching staff minus Williams

Jeff Fisher and the St. Louis Rams announced the completion of a 20-member coaching staff minus suspended defensive coordiantor Gregg Williams.

Fisher said March 22 that he didn't plan to replace Williams on his staff and didn't anoint a new coordinator in his place. The responsibilities will likely be shared by Fisher, assistant head coach Dave McGinnis and secondary coach Chuck Cecil.

Fisher had previously announced all but two of the members of his 2012 coaching staff -- assistant linebackers coach Joe Bowden and assistant special teams coach Paul Boudreau Jr., who is the son of offensive line coach Paul Boudreau. Bowden played eight seasons for Fisher for the Oilers/Titans.

Williams, hired Jan. 16 as Rams defensive coordinator when his contract expired in New Orleans, has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL. A league investigation found Williams was the ringleader of a bounty system that paid defensive players for punishing hits that injured opposing players, often targeting quarterbacks and other key personnel.
