Pacers' Hill could miss start of season

Indiana Pacers point guard George Hill could miss the start of the regular season with hip pointer and left thumb issues.

Hill will likely miss the entire preseason, and his absence increases concern about his availability for the Oct. 31 season opener at Toronto.

Head coach Frank Vogel is trying to remain optimistic that Hill will play, according to the Indianapolis Star.

"It's always a concern whether he'll be in there or not," Vogel said. "We feel like he's going to be ready by then."
