Oklahoma's Allen looking to transfer

Oklahoma backup quarterback Drew Allen was given permission by the school to pursue transferring, according to multiple reports.

Even though Landry Jones is headed to the NFL, Blake Bell is expected to take over as starter with Allen entering his senior season.

It is not clear which schools interest Allen, who also considered transferring last season.

Even though Allen is graduating in May, he has one more year of eligibility. He does not have to sit out a season if he transfers to an FBS school as long as the school has a graduate program that is not offered at Oklahoma.

He has attempted just 30 passes in his Sooners career and none in 2012 as Bell was the primary backup to Jones.
