NFL teams looking at Argos' Armstead

NFL teams are interested in former USC defensive tackle Armond Armstead, who is playing with the Canadian Football League's Toronto Argonauts.

Armstead started 17 games in three seasons with the Trojans from (2008-10), recording 59 tackles. He visited the New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles and Colts last week, and may speak to more before deciding where to sign.

Armstead, at 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, is viewed as the equivalent of a top draft pick.

The 22-year-old joined CFL to prove his health after having a heart attack, now the subject of a lawsuit against USA that alleges the attack was caused by painkillers. He didn't play for the Trojans in 2011 because he wasn't medically cleared for competition, and then went undrafted in 2012.
