NFL roundup: Cowboys' Ware out a month
Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Ware is expected to miss up to one month with a quadriceps injury suffered Sunday night against the Washington Redskins.
If Ware doesn't suit up Sunday, it would be the first game he has missed in his career, breaking a streak of 134 consecutive starts.
Dallas was already without Pro Bowl left defensive end Anthony Spencer and nose tackle Jay Ratliff. Both are likely out for the season.
The Cowboys play at Philadelphia on Sunday.
---Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb will miss multiple games because of a knee injury, coach Mike McCarthy said.
ESPN reported that Cobb, who has 29 receptions for 378 yards and two touchdowns this season, will miss two games.
Another Packers wide receiver, James Jones, also injured his knee Sunday, but he might be able to play against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. ESPN reported Jones has a sprained PCL.
--- Packers outside linebacker Nick Perry suffered a broken foot on Sunday and will miss at least one month.
---The Buffalo Bills signed quarterback Matt Flynn to the 53-man roster. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Flynn was recently released by the Oakland Raiders, becoming a free agent, and worked out for the Bills earlier on Monday.
---An MRI revealed that Thad Lewis, the Bills' starting quarterback on Sunday, has a mild foot sprain and he is day-to-day, according to NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk.
---The Bills also announced that defensive back Jonathan Meeks was placed on injured reserve/designated for return. He is eligible to return to practice six weeks and to the active list in eight weeks.
---Quarterback Josh Freeman already is a candidate to start in just his second week with the Minnesota Vikings.
Coach Leslie Frazier said Monday that he and his coaching staff will determine Monday and Tuesday which quarterback to start before full-squad game-plan installation begins Wednesday.
---Vikings linebacker Desmond Bishop tore his right ACL during Sunday's loss to the Carolina Panthers. Frazier said that Bishop will need season-ending surgery.
Bishop missed all of 2012 because of a hamstring injury while with the Packers.
---Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller told the Denver Post he does not have a substance abuse problem as he gets set to report back to the team Monday following his six-game suspension.
Miller was banned for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. He reportedly also tried to manipulate a drug test to avoid a positive result.
Miller said he has a prescription to Adderall for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), explaining that his suspension was not for substance abuse.
---New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham is having an MRI taken on his injured knee, NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk reported.
Graham left Sunday's game against the New England Patriots in the fourth quarter. It was initially reported that he had an ankle injury.
---Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Calais Campbell is out of a Bay Area hospital and back home after leaving Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers on a stretcher with a neck injury.
"He left the field with movement and the feeling was coming back," Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said after the game. "He had extreme numbness."
---New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin said running back Brandon Jacobs has a hamstring injury. Coughlin said Jacobs is expected to practice this Thursday.
---New York Jets running back Mike Goodson confirmed on Twitter that the knee injury he sustained in Sunday's 19-6 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers will end his season.

He was suspended the first four games stemming from a May arrest, which included marijuana possession and weapons violations charges.
---Cleveland Browns coach Rob Chudzinski said Brandon Weeden will remain the team's starting quarterback despite throwing two interceptions in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Detroit Lions.
---Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart could return to the practice field as early as Wednesday, coach Ron Rivera said.
Stewart is on the physically unable to perform list recovering from offseason surgery on both ankles.
---The mother of New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski said her son cannot wait to get back on the playing field but wants to avoid another forearm surgery.
"All I can say is Robbie is dying to play. He wants to get out there," Diane Gronkowski told the Boston Herald on Sunday. "He's doing what he has to do to get back playing. He doesn't like it. He wants to play. It really bothers him that he's not playing."
